Toshiba unveils ZX900 Series Cell TV
Others | Raul | January 7, 2010 at 9:41 amToshiba America Consumer Products presented this Wednesday the launching of a new LED TV line titled ZX900 Series Cell TV which boasts a host of new technological improvements in an attempt to overcome competitors at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
The 55-inch and 65-inch Cell TV promises to offer an unforgettable experience mainly through its ability to convert 2-D signals into more advanced and visually pleasing 3-D ones, along with an alleged processing power that is 143 times higher than most television sets. Needless to say, it is still too soon to put the ZX900 Series to the comprehensive tests which would point out whether this figure speaks the truth or is merely a marketing ploy.
As do the majority of TV’s recently launched, Toshiba’s has implemented several high-end features into its Cell TV turning it into a true Home Entertainment Server. The ones worth noting are the internal 1 TB hard-disk, Blu-ray Disc Player and Wi-Fi capability which will ensure the user will have full inter-functionality between the Cell TV, Internet and his own PC.
The first Cell TV model will be embodied by the XV900 Series available in 55-inch and 65-inch diagonal display sizes, although an official price has yet to be released by the Japanese multinational company.
