ULV , or Ultra-Low Voltage , describes a series of microprocessors which are factory underclocked in order to use less power. The advantages of this technique are the dissipated heat reduction and prolonging the microprocessor’s lifespan. Of course, there’s also a downside to this – the impact on performance.
