What would an iPhone be without apps? And how many people would actually want to spend hundreds of dolars on it? Fortunately, we will never have to answer those questions. Thanks to the thousands (or maybe millions) of existing apps, people get to enjoy their iPhones every day by browsing, downloading (sometimes for free) and using them. And thanks to the people who pay for apps, developers get to enjoy a little profit. Here are two inovative apps and the reasons they are woth mentioning.
Super Twario
Created exclusively for those with a Twittter account, Super Twario is an app that lets you read tweets. Unlike other apps of its kind available in the store, this one is designed like a platform game, similar to mario. You walk around in a virtual 2D world with a rabbit, reading tweets that float around like platforms, interacting with them, being able to create them, reply or retweet. The game also includes various achievements and costs only $1.99 on iTunes.
Trainyard Express
Created by Matt Rix, this is one of the top games in the App Store. The entire creation process took about one year, and the game was released on May 30th. When it was first released, he made about $60 in a day. But as this was not enough, he tried using some advertising methods to make the game more popular. However, they didn’t work quite well. So, he created another free game, consisting of 60 new puzzles to promote his first one. The game received a good review on a popular Italian blog and downloads increased for both, the free version and the paid one. In early October, Apple started featuring the game in the App Store, and in just a few days it became #2 most downloaded.
