The device looks quite massive, though and sports a 18.4in full HD screen with a resolution of 1920×1080. With a screen of this size, it cannot be but massive! And heavy! It weighs around 7 kg. So, it’s definitely not advisable to purchase it if you’re in search of portable laptops. This is probably the best desktop replacement.
But if you don’t mind its size and weigh, you’ll surely impress your friends with such a gaming gear. And if you’re to think of the gaming experience you’ll get with the 18-inch screen, then Alienware M18x is just the perfect piece to get!
The keyboard comes with tapered keys which makes it easier for first-person shooters since there’s more space between the individual letters. It has quite an attractive look and the keyboard includes a number of customizable quick-launch buttons.
These can be assigned to different functions, apps and macros. Plus several sets of assignments can be stored and then recalled. So, if you’re into keyboard shortcuts, then M18x is just perfect. Still, some users might opt for an USB mouse for certain games.

Alienware made a smart move when deciding to use the 18-inch screen for its M18x laptop since screens of this size are quite rare (one of them would also be Acer Aspire Ethos 8951). In what the speakers are concerned, they’ll do just fine for games and movies being louder and bigger than the speakers laptops usually come up with. Still, we had a more pleasant gaming experience while using the headphones.
