The latest results regarding research conducted in the radiation vs sperm area definitely show that a laptop should not be kept on one’s lap. The report regarding this issue was published in the Fertility and Sterility journal by scientists from Argentina. The content of the report is about how samples of healthy semen were affected by radiation. More exactly, how potent men had their semen damaged because they held a WiFi connected laptop on their laps.

A control test that was conducted to see how semen reacted when it was kept away from WiFi radiation but at the same temperature had some interesting results. It seems that 14 percent of the sperm died within 4 hours and 3 percent suffered from DNA damage. However, when radiation was present, 25 percent of the sperm died and 9 percent had DNA damage. The most important conclusion that can be drawn from this test is that not only high temperature damages semen, but WiFi electromagnetic radiation does the same with even worse effects.
However, before taking any extreme measures like buying a jockstrap, men should be aware of the fact that the test was made on semen without the protection of the skin found on the testicles. This means that the chances of getting a woman pregnant are not lower and that the skin can be enough to protect the sperm from radiation. Also, sperm is produced throughout the day which means that the ‘little men’ will probably be affected only if before every conception attempt the man would have had a laptop on his lap for at least four hours.
More importantly, this study shows that very weak and low-frequency radiation affects the actual sperm. This means that men should at least be a little careful with what device they keep on their lap. A notebook, laptop, iPad, Kindle Fire or whatever WiFi connected device should be held away from our body. In addition, smartphones should not have WiFi on all the time, just in case.
