The YouTube channel Sesame Street went offline after having been hit by pornographic content. Hackers have uploaded this kind of videos posting alongside a message that asks: “Who doesn’t like porn kids?”
It seems that these pornographic videos have been uploaded by someone using Mredxwx as username. The person who uses this name has denied to have uploaded such videos though. The problem was spotted 20 minutes after the upload has been made and obviously, the Sesame Street YouTube channel went offline.
Google has stated in this matter that “YouTube’s Community Guidelines prohibit graphic content. As always, we remove inappropriate material as soon as we are made aware of it”.
Before being removed, a part of the offending content has been grabbed by Graham Cluely, the security blogger. This content included the following messages:
“I’m Mredxwx and my partner Mrsuicider91 are here to bring you many nice content! Please don’t let Sesame Street to get this account back kids.”
A short video clip has also been posted on that user’s registered account and it said that: “I did not hack Sesame Street. I am an honest youtuber. I work hard to make quality gameplay videos and most important I respect the community guidelines”.
Similar hacks have taken place in May last year when hundreds of this kind of videos have been removed. These were a mixture of pornographic material, music videos and images from TV programmes intended for children.
