By Samsung is looking for a way to ban the iPhone 4S sales in countries that include Australia, Japan, Italy and France. The Korean company’s intentions come as a result of the injuction Apple has been granted last week and that allows the company to ban the sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia.
The battle between the two companies will now reach a new level if Samsung manages to ban the iPhone 4S sales in the countries mentioned above. Samsung claims patent infringement by Apple and states that:
“Apple has continued to violate our patent rights and free ride on our technology. We will no longer stand idly by and will steadfastly protect our intellectual property.”
Both Apple and Samsung try to win this battle they have initiated. Last week, Apple managed to get an injuction that allows the company to block the sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia. Apple was granted this injunction after justice Annabelle Bennett concluded that the Korean company did infringe certain patents Apple owns. Samsung has recently filed an appeal against this decision but there are no details related to a response from the Australian Court.
Apple has also succeed to ban Samsung’s device in Germany as well. Taking all this into account, Samsung is now trying to ban Apple’s successful iPhone 4S from sales in the countries like Australia and Japan. Its plea in this matter was rejected by a Dutch Court last week, though.
