It has been a couple of months since Samsung released the Galaxy S2 smartphone. This amazing Android based device was expected by many fans and has been sold all over the world by around 140 vendors. The success of Galaxy S2 was simply tremendous, reaching an extremely high demand rate in virtually no time. Only the pre-orders are estimated to be around 3 million for this device alone.
Lately, rumors all around the internet presented the successor of S2, the Galaxy S3. The next generation of smartphones made by Samsung will most probably have the Galaxy S3 as a flagship, expecting a processor at 1.8GHz, offering significant boosts in terms of performance and power consumption.

No official information has been released yet, but rumors tend to agree that the S3 should be a truly ‘iPhone killer’. Leaked information and rumors suggest that the new flagship released by Samsung should hit the market in middle 2012, featuring a quad-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz with 50% better graphic performance and 30% less power consumption in comparison with Galaxy S2.
Being a smartphone that encourages multitasking, much like its predecessor, S3 will most probably have 2GM of RAM memory, becoming the first smartphone with such a capability. In terms of storage, Galaxy S3 should have at least 32GB of storage memory, upgradeable via memory cards.
When it comes to design and display, Samsung accidentally leaked some information; according to this information, S3 will have a 4.6 inch screen display (making a 1280×720 screen resolution available), and the new flexible glass (FOLED) will also feature once S3 is released.
Regarding the camera of Galaxy S3, it will most probably feature a 12 MP rear camera with a ½.3-inch sensor, being a bigger sensor than the ones found in smartphones like iPhone 4S. Depending on some factors, the camera could get even better, featuring 16MP.
With little official information available at this time, it is quite hard to get a better look at the new flagship that should be released in the near future by Samsung. All that can be said at this point is that Samsung’s Galaxy S3 will most certainly be a great smartphone, competing with all the other flagships of 2012.
