Samsung Galaxy S Advance, which was officially announced to hit the market in February 2012, offers the perfect combination of capabilities, specs and price. For those that want a Galaxy S2, Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy Note, but are not quite ready to spend too much money, and yet do not want to set for a Galaxy S either, the Samsung Galaxy S Advance looks like the proper choice.
In prospect, Samsung Galaxy S Advance is a combination between Galaxy S and Galaxy S2. Samsung GT-I9070 (the model number for Galaxy S Advance) will see the market in an improved design, with a curved display for better touchscreen experience and a 3.5 jack for handsfree. In terms of noticeable specs, Galaxy S Advance will be embedded with a 1GHz Cortex-A9 CPU dual core processor, giving Galaxy S Advance the boost it needed to successfully compete on the market in 2012. The 2012 Galaxy S Advance will also feature a 4-inch Super AMOLED curved display, 768MB of RAM memory and 8/16GB of internal storage (upgradeable via microSD card). The Galaxy S Advance main camera will have 5MP capabilities and it will be able to record videos at 720p. The secondary camera has 1.3MP, being used for video calls.
As for the connectivity capabilities, Galaxy S Advance will feature Wi-Fi capabilities, 3G support, A-GPS, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0 and A-GPS. There will be no 4G LTE support, mainly because the new Galaxy device is mid-range targeted.
The software used to power Galaxy S Advance is Android version 2.3.6 Gingerbread, but it will soon be upgradeable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The official presentation regarding Samsung Galaxy S Advance will probably take place a Mobile World Congress 2012, in February. Regarding the price, indicators so far seem to tag Galaxy S Advance as similar with the price tag of Samsung Galaxy R.
