By Samsung Focus S is just a few days away from coming to shelves. Even if not much is left till then, Samsung Focus S can be seen in the pictures below. The Engadget team has managed to get hands on the device. So, here’s what the team thinks of the phone.
Coming with pretty cool features, the AT&T-bound Mango device features a nice design that will probably attract many Samsung fans and users. The device sports a 1.4GHz processor and a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display. Samsung Focus S comes with a 1.3MP front facing camera and an 8MP camera on the back that has 720p video recording capabilities.
Though the phone comes in a body made of plastic, it looks neither cheap nor robust. Matte-finished and textured blackplates have been used to give the phone a more premium feel. The 8.55mm thin phone is lighter than Focus Flash despite the fact that Samsung Focus S is bigger in size.
The device runs Windows Phone 7.5 and even if it comes with a 480x480p resolution, the Super AMOLED display really impressed the Engadget team. It doesn’t compare with the display we get in iPhone 4S but it’s definitely a plus for the phone. It’s quite bright and contrasty.
Another plus of Samsung Focus S is that the phone comes with the dedicated camera button which many users prefer. So, no matter where the user is in the operating system, he only needs to press de camera button to pop up the Wp7 camera app.
Though the camera is nothing like the one you get in Galaxy Nexus, it’s quite speedy. Samsung Focus S will be coming from November 6th and will be available for $199 on a two-year contract. Chcek the gallery below to take a closer look at Samung’s Focus S.
