Motorola Xoom 2 has been officially unveiled yesterday. Only 24 hours after this event, Motorola now confirms the Motorola Xoom 2 price in UK. The RAZR and Defy+ manufactured tablet will be available for less than £400. Trying to become a rival to Apple’s 9.7-inch tablet, the iPad 2, Motorola has decided to cut the price for its tablet.
Thus, Motorola Xoom 2 will be available for £379.99, which makes the device £20 cheaper than iPad 2. This price is available for the 16GB version that comes with Wi-Fi only connectivity.
The device sports a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and features 1GB of RAM and a 10.1-inch display. There are two cameras: a rear-mounted 5MP camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. The splash-guard nano technology has been used in order to protect the tablet from splashes and spills.
Motorola Xoom 2 weighs 599 grams being 8.8mm thick. Even if Ice Cream Sandwhich is out and about, the tablet runs the 3.2 version of Android’s Honeycomb operating system. Some users might be interested in purchasing a tablet that runs the latest version of Android, though. Even so, the price seems to be pretty good for a 10.1-inch tablet.
The tablet is said to be released somewhere around November 15th. If Motorola’s price for Xoom 2 turns out to be affordable, than the tablet might actually be successful. Let us know what you think of Motorola Xoom 2 price in the comment box below.
