Even if all the fuss is around Android Ice Cream Sandwhich and its release, there’s great news for those who own LG Optimus 3D and are anxiously waiting to update their devices to Gingerbread. This will be possible beginning with next week.
We all know that Gingerbread brings many improvements and enhancements over Froyo and there’s good stuff coming with it. Besides what we already know, it is said that this Gingerbread update will be coming with improved media experience, better 3D experience as well as faster speeds. Sounds like a good deal, right?
The download speeds will thus be pushed over 3G with HSPA+ to 21Mbps with the Gingerbread update and in what the uploads on LG Optimus 3D are concerned, the speed will be of 5.76Mbps.
The Gingerbread update that has been customized for LG Optimus 3D will bring improvements from Google that will include better and improved features at the level of user interface, enhancements in what the power management is concerned and advanced copy/paste.
Besides these, there are some enhancements coming from LG as well. Thus the video recording will be improved and the 2D camera will be capable of recording high quality videos thanks to the image stabilization feature. With the 3D Video Editor, LG Optimus 3D owners and users will have the possibility to edit their 2D or 3D video recordings on the device.
Thee’s a reduction in the gallery loading time and the battery life will be longer in MP3 playback. Looks like the Gingerbread upgrade will be bringing some goodies. The update will start in Europe for unlocked phones from November 21st and is expected to be followed by other markets by the end of 2011.
