I for one can really appreciate a laptop and MSI’s latest creation seems to be really up my street.
It’s a very powerful processor unit with decent amount of RAM and even though it can handle high definition movies it’s not some cumbersome desktop replacement that’s as big as a picnic table.
Featuring a 14 inch screen, a one inch thickness, weighing in at just 4.4 pounds and offering up to 8 hours of battery life if there’s one thing the MSI X460 screams it’s portability.
MSI isn’t exactly known from offering just one feature and we all know that it’s just not enough these days to have just one strong point.
This is why the performance includes an Intel I7 processor with 2.0 GHz running out of four physical cores and using eight threads in total.
Teamed up with 8 Gb of DDR3 RAM Memory, Intel’s HD 3000 graphics together with a Direct X 11 capable Nvidia discrete graphics card thanks to the beauty of dual graphics card-switching.
HDD space count stops at 750 Gb and there’s an SSD option available for those who just can’t get enough of the speed offered by “conventional” drives.
Connectivity is equally as impressive as the rest of the spec sheet because not only does it feature wLAN, Gigabit LAN, and Bluetooth there’s also USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and a very capable card reader.
If your travels may make you feel somewhat chatty, you’ll probably appreciate the built in 720p HD camera MSI threw into the kit.
The metal alloy chassis that holds all of these toys safe also gets a brushed finish that comes together with special, built in palm rest areas.
