Japanese website Macotakara has come with some news about the long awaited iPhone 5. It seems that Sony and Hitachi have started working on four-inch screens with Apple Cupertino headquarters already receiving prototypes. Steve Jobs personally stopped the launch of iPhone 5 because it considered the phone not finished.

However, its successors at Apple have a different opinion regarding the iPhone 5 release and all the signs hint to a launch in March. The conservative lines found on the iPhone 4S will be dramatically redesigned for the next phone release in March. According to site iLounge, the restriction put by Steve Jobs regarding a larger screen will not be considered anymore.
This new 4-inch screen will get into competition with other devices powered by Android. iLounge is most of the time a reliable source when it comes to product launches from Apple. The site said that “Our source says that the next-generation iPhone will not look like the teardrop-shaped version that was widely rumored for release in 2011. We’ve been told that the device will have a 4-inch display and will be 8mm longer than before, with a metal casing (probably aluminum)”.
Even though the iPhone 4S disappointed fans that were waiting for iPhone 5, it was still very popular among shoppers. iLounge added that the iPhone 5 will have the power to deal with the amplified battery drain of an LTE aerial – ie 4G. The last rumor is regarding the displays made of iridium, zinc, gallium, which will make the new iPhone even thinner.
