By this point in history, gaming and the likes, I’m sure you all know a gaming franchise that you know you’re going to play regardless of how good or otherwise their upcoming game is.
For me, I’m afraid that title is Grand Theft Auto or GTA in short and I’m more than certain that I’m not alone in my guilty pleasure.
The rest of you will soon be thrilled to know that the guys at Rockstar, the developers of the GTA franchise have confirmed that they are hard at work on the next installment.
No name is available yet but GTA V, Grand Theft Auto Five or any mix between these options is what we can expect to see in the title.
To further sweeten the “deal”, Rockstar not only confirmed the upcoming BMW title, but also promised to have a trailer ready as early as next week.
Going into the details of the GTA V’s coming to life, Rockstar has some “dirty” details to share. There’s a missed original release date scheduled to appear in late 2010.
There’s also a bit of a production cost with GTA V which apparently has cost more than $80 million so far so it has quite a bit of sales to pitch in order to make up for it.
Millions of copies will be sold throughout platforms like Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and it’s the latter that gives me a bit of a worry.
I’ve played pretty much all of the games within the GTA franchise on both PC and Playstation but I’ve always enjoyed having a keyboard and mouse in front more.
This waived a bit with the previous installment of GTA, the 4, as there were some serious optimization issues that I hope will be done by the new launch.
At this state, all that’s left is that we wait for November 2nd to get a proper look at the trailer that tells us what GTA V has to offer.
