Of all the markets and areas in the world, technology and gaming would probably be the last place to look for stability and yet Sony says it’s here.
Dr. Richard Marks, the guy who came up with the PlayStation Move and PlayStation Eye came forward today with an interesting announcement.
Even though he’s the creator of some pretty revolutionary stuff as far as the way people interact with their gaming experience his thoughts weren’t on the same plane.
Sony’s innovative man claims that us gadget freaks tech enthusiasts are very faithful to our favorite toys.
Sony’s gamepad controller was recently updated with the arrival of the Playstation 3 but nothing important actually changed.
It seems that he’s aware about how much a classic gamepad design like the one the Sony Playstation offers to us.
With the 3D experience, High Definition this, that and a set of motion controllers, it’s easy to foresee how gaming could end up being very different in the future.
Hopefully it won’t though, there are some games that need to feel like games and not like some sort of special experience.
Seeing this happen and such a big representative of Sony telling us that some thing stay the same it gives me a good feeling about my gamepad future.
I may be a particular fan of Sony but let’s face it, Xbox or whatever you use for your PC as well, you aren’t really interested in changing it for a motion sensor very soon are you?
It looks like the Sony Playstation 4 will still deliver good old classic Dual Shock controllers and us gadgeteers are so going to love it.
Now if only we could get Nintendo to play along with this whole classic gamepad stuff. Don’t get me wrong, the Wii is fun but it’ll never have the same thing as playing Mario, the original.
