By I know it’s weird that you’d find a transportation on gadget and technology focused website but the Biona Bike Concept does borrow a lot from these two areas of expertise.

The Biona is purely a gadget upsized to the point where it becomes a viable transportation solution. Or does it?
The Biona mixes battery powered transportation with motorcycles. These are probably two of the things i dislike most about technology but since I don’t make the rules you may want to take a look at the following video:

Here we go, we’ve got a somewhat more affordable alternative with the Biona bike to the already alternative Nissan Leaf EV. I can already see the drop in congestion this would imply but I’m not sure on what safety standards would be like on the roads of the future.
Could you imagine the future of Hell’s Angels when they’d all be riding Biona bikes and they’d brag about inductive charging at coffee shops?
So, is a renewable, sustainable, fuel efficient and nimble transportation solution enough for you or do you think the Biona isn’t your cup of tea yet? Let us know cause while I, for one, am sure about this idea, most of my colleagues remain undecided on the Biona.
