Apple’s iPad has been revealed for more than a day now and I suppose plenty of you have gotten round to seeing it.
Having looked at the specs and presentation videos enough to get a good picture about what the Apple iPad 2 is all about.
I’m not a big fan of the whole tablet pc fashion but one can easily appreciate high performance in devices even if they come with some Apple badge.
Let’s make a short list of all those components that make the Apple iPad 2 as important as it is:
- A dual-core 1GHz processor A5 chip.
- Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.
- Dual cameras.
- HDMI output.
- IPS LCD screen technology.
- 720p video recording.
- 10 hours of battery life.
Now sure, Apple’s marketing squad will say that there’s nothing but useful features within the iPad 2 but nobody should be that taken in.
The Apple iPad 2 now also comes with a very special cover. While it’s difficult to get excited about a gadget cover, the Apple iPad 2 one is truly special.
And that’s my problem with the Apple iPad 2, once again the company has created a great product and then they decided to promote it mostly for the aesthetics.
My question to you is simple, If the Apple iPad 2 would look different, or be promoted as less of a cool product would you still be interested in buying one?
For the sake of argument, let’s just imagine the Apple iPad 2 (cover included) is a no brand product, would the specs excite you?
