By If you’re an Orange customer and a movie fan as well, then we have great news for you! Orange and Apple have teamed up in order to launch the mobile network’s new scheme called “Film To Go” in UK. This service will offer Orange customers the possibility to rent a movie using iTunes and pay only 35 pence for a text containing a promotional code.
This new service from Orange will be added to the already available and well-known Orange Wednesdays movie ticket promotion. Film To Go will give you the chance to download a free movie every Thursday. So every week, Orange customers will be able to download a film and watch it on their computers or on their Apple devices including iPod Touch, iPad and iPhone.
You can watch the downloaded movies up to 30 days. You must know that viewing must be completed with 48 hours of the first play and in order to download the movie you want to watch, you will have to text “filmtogo” to 85060. You will receive a message with the code you need to download the movie. You can also use the Orange Film To Go App to get this code.
Orange’s brand director, Spencer McHugh said that:
“We know Orange customers love film. So adding the Orange Film to Go service to our existing portfolio of film offers is hugely exciting for us.”
The less appealing part is that you won’t be able to see old movies or any movie because Orange offers only certain films for launch and these include: The Ghost, Che: Part One, The Wrestler and Blueberry Nights. You must also know that every Thursday will come with a new movie in the coming months. It is advisable to donwload the movie over Wi-Fi since each film will be over 1GB in size.
