Create a mobile page with Google Sites

Google has lots of extremely helpful products, more or less known by the general public. Google Sites has been a very useful tool for webmasters and site builders everywhere, allowing them to create pages quickly and easily, without the need of advanced (or even remotely advanced) HTML knowledge.

The tool is in no way new, as it has existed for a long time, and it’s not exactly the only one out there, as there are tons of sites and programs that are perfectly capable of doing the same job. But Google Sites’ advantage is that it is made by Google, which smoothly integrates this service with everything else the online giant provides, and it’s completely free.

Up until now, if you wanted to create a mobile website through Google Pages there was no possible way of doing it. But yesterday Google expanded their tool to provide this capability – a truly awesome functionality, seeing that the mobile devices are gaining up on regular websites in terms of numbers of users.

Studies have shown that sites that have a native mobile page are more likely to attract visitors for a second time, as opposed to sites that do not posses this functionality. The numbers speak for themselves: 61% of users will not return if your site doesn’t have a native mobile page. More worryingly, 40% of users will choose your competitors’ services over yours in such a case. Long story short, Google Sites will basically improve the quality of your site and your services by offering this functionality.

There are now several mobile templates available within the Google Sites tool, which will suit many site styles. From local businesses to eCommerce or social sites, they are all pretty much covered.
