With Windows Phone 7 being available for a reasonable amount of time now it seems strange that Microsoft haven’t yet published any official sales figures.
In fact, it’s so strange it’s grasped the attention of rumors. Some are suggesting that Windows Phone 7 attracts so little interest, it’s not selling. Some of the chaps who like to go over the top claim that even when Windows Phone 7 sales such as this occur operators have trouble shifting them
Could it be true?
I know it’s strange but i seriously doubt WP7 sales are that poor. On the other hand, spin the clock backwards a bit and look at Apple and Google.
About a week after the iPhone 4 came out, Apple published figures and made announcements of shelves being cleared. When Google put Android OS smartphones on the market and they sold like hot cakes, the company let us know it’s doing well.
Microsoft on the other hand keep a lid on Windows Phone 7 sales and that’s not only odd comparing to the market, it’s odd compared to themselves.
Microsoft made Kinect for Xbox 360 available in the U.K. recently and they even told us how well it’s doing there. It’s not just the British, news of Kinect sales are all over the Internet.
But the question remains, what’s going on with Microsoft not saying anything about Windows Phone 7 sales?
