Canon has just announced the launch of EOS-1D X, its new professional DSLR. The camera will come with some great features being the most powerful one in the DSLR line. So, let’s have a look at what Canon’s EOS- 1D X will bring.
Regarding this new professional camera coming from Canon, Yuichi Ishizuka, Canon’s general manager and vice president has stated that:
“The EOS-1D X represents the re-invention of the EOS-1Ds and EOS-1D series, combining new proprietary Canon technologies with the culmination of customer feedback and requests from the field. We are proud to introduce this camera to the worldwide community of professional photographers and cinematographers with the features and capabilities they need to capture the great moments that display their talent”.
Coming with a 18MP camera, EOS-1D X features a full sensor that is capable of 12fps and is said to be the best camera in lowering the noise. Even if the design is the same, the camera is said to have been re-designed from inside out and is believed to replace the EOS-1Ds Mark III and EOS-1D Mark IV.
Taking the best of Canon’s DSLR professional lineup, EOS-1D X has the the EOS-1D series speed capabilities, a Dual DIGIC 5+ Imaging Processorsas well as 14-bit A/D data conversion. You will get 17 times more processing speed thanks to the Dual DIGIC 5+ image processors, the EOS iTR AF control and the DIGIC 4 for metering which make the camera be named as the camera with three brains.
With these features, the camera will provide lower noise, the data processing speed having been increased significantly. Using a new 100,000-pixel RGB Metering Sensor, the The DIGIC 4 processor has enhanced the exposure accuracy with the help of face detection and color.
The camera is addressed to all the categories of professional photographers, from those working in cinematography to newspaper photographs. The system menu has also been re-designed and it can be accessed using the 3.2-inch, 1,040,000-dot LCD.
Those interested in using the camera to record videos will have the possibility to choose between 1080p video capture at 24 (23.97), 25 or 30 fps, or 720p at 50 or 60 fps. What you’ll get with EOS-1 D X includes multiple exposure modes, enhanced ergonomics and optimized design, super high speed mode as well as Enhanced EOS HD Video.
