Regarding the upcoming Apple iPad 3, it seems that Apple will not hold any event in February 2012. The good news is that Apple will hold a special event in early March 2012, one made just for the new iPad 3 release.
Official information available at the moment states that Apple will hold a trademark special event in the first week of March 2012 in order to debut the iPad 3, the direct successor of the successful iPad 2. It seems like this special event will take place inSan Francisco, most likely at theYerbaBuenaCenterfor Arts, which is one of the preferred locations chosen by Apple for such big announcements as the iPad 3 release in 2012.
There is no official release date for the iPad 3 yet, but keeping in mind Apple’s policy, the iPad 3 will probably reach the big market in a week after the main event inSan Francisco.
It seems that the new Apple iPad 3 will feature what various sources implied thus far: a device similar to the iPad 2 with a faster chip that grants better performance, an improved graphic processor and probably the Retina Display the internet talked about all this time (or at least something similar to the 2048×1536 Retina Display).
As a reminder, information so far regarding the specs of iPad 3 includes 4G LTE technology (that ensures better internet navigation and it will probably be the first Apple device to include 4G technology), better resolutions than a HD TV (as stated by Apple), an A6 Quad Core processor that would ensure smooth processing and of course: Retina Display (which is to provide great resolution and it’s said to be thicker compared with the current versions).
Keeping in mind that the iPad 2 had an amazing success in 2011, one can only think the same for iPad 3 and 2012. Of course, recent rumors exploited the possibility of 2 Apple tablets being released in 2012, so in prospect, one can expect iPad 4 by the end of 2012. That would certainly change much in the market, but it remains to be seen if such a rumor is true.
Several Apple spokesmen refused to comment any of these pieces of information due to the company’s policy not to comment just based on speculation and rumors. All facts accounted for, 2012 will certainly be full of surprises, but one fact is certain: Apple will release the new iPad 3 in March 2012.
