Lots of new products are to be released this year, and great new features are expected to be available from every field of our modern society. A great example is Apple, which should release in 2012 a great range of new products, taking into account all the rumors that flow on the internet.
Worth noticing thus far are the rumors regarding the iPad 3 and iPad 4. Rumors suggest that Apple is planning to release both devices this year, the iPad 3 in the first quarter and iPad 4 at the end of 2012.
Information so far states that the third iPad should be released to the market in March and the forth iPad should be expected in October or November of 2012. In terms of improvements, specs and new features, it seems that iPad 3 will feature a crisp retina display that should greatly enhance the users’ experience, and iPad 4 is expected to feature significant improvements with “killer applications”. It remains to be seen what exactly a ‘killer application’ consists of, given that a couple of months might pass until a better view regarding this matter will be available.
Rumors released by DigiTimes explain the possibility that Apple might release two tablets in the same year in order to fend off the competition, given that Google might also release a new tablet later this year and Microsoft should also release new devices running on the new Windows 8. As described in the rumor, it would be easier for Apple to release a new enhanced product, rather than updating a relatively old one. Of course, not all rumors will turn up to be real, so a new device such as iPad 4 could be postponed for 2013.
The fact is that Apple will certainly release at least one new iPad this year, but in the eventuality of two new devices, the one released in March should have a similar screen to the iPad 2 and users would have to wait for the iPad 4 in order to experience the Retina display.
