Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is surely the next big thing in the world of Android operating systems. With Android 4.0 already being available for certain devices, in March 2012 it’s time for the updates of older devices that are certainly eligible for such an operating system as Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
It is a known fact that one of the first devices to benefit from this system update is the Samsung Galaxy series. But it gets better! For the sake of diversity, HTC is the next in line to benefit from Android 4.0. Official HTC information stated that the first HTC devices that will benefit from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be eligible for this update in March 2012 (by the end of March).
As stated by HTC, the first wave of Android 4.0 updates will include HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XE and HTC Sensation 4G. Shortly after those devices receive their Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, HTC Sensation XL will be the next smartphone to benefit from Android 4.0.
HTC also made official the larger list of devices that are to receive Android 4.0 in the near future. This list includes HTC Rezound, HTC EVO 3D, HTC Amaze 4G, HTC EVO Design 4G, HTC Vivid, HTC Desire S, HTC Desire HD and HTC Incredible S, all of those waiting on the list of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
So far, the rumors about the updates to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to certain smartphones is turning out to be true, with both Samsung’s and HTC’s older smartphones being updated one by one to the last Android operating system in the market, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
As for additional HTC devices that should receive this Android 4.0 update, smartphones like HTC Thunderbolt, my Touch 4G and HTC Inspire 4G should also end up being operated by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, since those HTC devices are quite similar to others already announce officially, therefore, sooner or later, more and more devices are to receive significant improvements offered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
The next weeks will bring even more news regarding the impending Android 4.0 update list, with new devices being prepared for this update.
