Let’s suppose you bought a new laptop and you wanted to install Windows on it but your laptop doesn’t have a dvd-rom.How do you install it?
A simple way is to buy a USB stick and make this stick bootable.
Here’s how you do this.

Download :

Extract these 3 programs.

You need a computer that has a cd/dvd-rom or you can mount your Windows image with daemon tools(or any other similar program).

In the folder / usb_prep8 / gained after unziping run sb_prep8.cmd.

-press any key , as it says.

Run the PrepToUsb , it will automatically select the stick, otherwise you need to select it manually.Check disk format, quick format and LBA if it’s not checked, then Start, and after the end leave the window open.
-open a cmd window (RUN -> cmd)
-browse the unziped bootsect
-run “bootsect.exe /nt52 H:”( h being the usb stick)
-after this you should get this message “Bootcode was successfully updated on all targeted volume”

-go back to the first window(usbprep8)

-press 1 and select your Windows kit

-press 2 and type a letter that is not assigned to a partition of your computer (ex: W)

-press 3 and type H , H being the USB stick

-press 4 to start the process

-you will be asked if you want to format your drive.Type “Y” and Enter

-after formating press Enter again to continue and then again Enter.

-it will ask you if it should write the files to the stick.YES.

-it will ask if it should be bootable.YES.

–unmount drive? yes.

And …that’s it.You now can boot from your USB stick.
