How To Enable God Mode In Windows 7

Since being launched, Windows 7 has received its fair share of critics, but has also been hailed as one of the very best operating systems ever made through several innovations meant to improve ease of use and speed up the tasks that a basic user needs.

Seeing as Windows 7 enthusiasts are in a constant search of the so-called ‘Easter eggs’, along with pretty much any tips and tricks that might prove useful, it comes as no wonder that a God Mode has been discovered in Microsoft’s latest operating system.

The main feature of this new all-enabling mode is that it lets users access all of Windows 7’s control panels from within a single folder, avoiding the tedious job of going through menus and folders until one reaches the desired destination.

Activating God Mode in Windows 7 is a simple task as the user only needs to create a new folder and then rename it to the following: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Immediately afterwards, the folder’s icon changes into one similar to that of a control panel and presents the user with a comprehensive list, empowering him to take control of the way his operating system works.

Although this hidden feature (basically a shortcut to the Control Panel) was discovered in Windows 7, it is said to also be working in a 32-bit Windows Vista environment. Beware, though, since attempting this trick in a 64-bit Windows Vista operating system might crash your computer.
