Living in a world where the mobile industry has such a great role, it is almost something necessary to try to keep up-to-date in what new products from this range are concerned. So, if you’re the owner of an iPhone but you’d like to change it with a new one, then here’s something you might be interested in.
The thing with these new devices we purchase is that besides the comfort and great experiences they offer, there are some little issues that you will have to deal with. For instance, when it comes to the contacts you have to sync from your old iPhone to your new one, you will have to take quite a lot of your time to sync them from one device to to another. This happens if you go for the manual method which is not something I advise unless you have nothing else important to do.
So, if you’re in this situation and you want to transfer your contacts from the old device to the new one, then you’re reading the right article. Thanks to iPhone 4G, you can now do this very easily without taking too much of your time. You can also send contacts to a friend of yours who owns an iPhone.
There are several ways of doing this but we will focus today on the method that implies not only your two iPhones (the old one and the new one) but also a computer. So, here’s what you have to do if you want to transfer your contacts from your iPhone to the new one you’ve just purchased:
- 1 The first thing to do is to open iTunes in order to sync your old iPhone to your computer.
- 2 Now backup all your contacts from your old device by selecting your iPhone in the “Devices” section on the left and then right click on it. Now click on Back Up and wait till all your data si backed up.
- 3 The next step is to sync your new iPhone to your computer in order to get the contacts from your old device. To do that, you will have to open iTunes once again and since the computer will consider this phone as a new one, you will have to go through the entire setup process.
- 4 You will see two options: Set up as new iPhone and Restore from the back up. Go for the second option. You will then be asked to choose the name of your old device. A drop down box will appear and you will have to click on Continue. Once this setup is finished, the backup and contacts sync from your old iPhone to your new one is complete as well.
It doesn’t take time, nor a rich computer/iPhone experience to sync the contacts from an old iPhone to a new one. You just have to follow the above mentioned steps without skipping any of them and that’s about all!
