Adding new Photoshop fonts is nothing difficult and something many of you would probably be interested in. If you’re no longer content with the old fonts like Papyrus or Comic Sans, then here’s what you have to do in order to add new Photoshop fonts.
1. The first thing you’ll have to do is to get some new fonts. All you have to do is to download the Ultimate Font Download . By getting this package, you’ll get more than 10,000 Photoshop fonts! You can use these fonts for scrapbooking, flyers, logos, invitations, t-shirt prints and so on. If you’re not interested in so many fonts, then you can go to different websites and download only the ones you want.
2. Since these Photoshop fonts come in files that are .rar or .zip extensions, you will have to extract them. Use WinZip or WinRar to do that.
3. Not all of these files work with Microsoft Windows, so you’ll have to pay attention and choose the right files. Therefore, make sure you download the files that have .ttf .fon and .otf extensions. Copy them by hitting CTRL+C.
4. In case you use the Windows OS, you’ll have to select the files and put them C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\ folder.
5. Now open the Photoshop version you use. Select the new fonts you want to use and there you go!. These will work in the same way as the old ones.
