The Best 50 Games of 2009/2010

Do you have a spare moment or just some time to kill? Are you bored to death of your games? Would you like to play something else, but you can’t imagine what is left for you to play? Don’t despair; we’ll try to get you out of this crisis of ideas by showing you no less than 50 games worth playing, whether you’d like to shoot something, to drive insanely, to kick some… or to play some sports (while being too lazy to sit up from your couch).

In the following lines we’ll summarize what we thought to be the best games released in the last two years of this decade, regardless the platforms supported, the exclusives or the genre of the games. Thus, this wasn’t intended to be a top, nor be a hierarchy of the releases. Considering the variety of game genres involved, the different platforms of the games, the exclusive games and, simply, the variety in gamers’ preferences, we thought it would be inappropriate to make a top or to say that one release is better than the other.

1. Battlefield: Bad Company 2

A Modern First Person Shooter defined by excellent graphics and astonishing sound, with a thrilling and full of action single player campaign, which is an intense adventure in several beautiful exotic locations. In the campaign mode, you are accompanied and helped by your squadron mates, a very funny bunch of mates. Multiplayer mode is also supported with three different modes: Rush, Conquest and Squad Deathmatch.

It’s a Modern First Person Shooter, with single-player campaign, cooperative mode and, of course, multiplayer. As the game’s name let us guess it, it’s a sequel of COD: Modern Warfare, the campaign mode continuing the story of its predecessor. Your job: to save the World from the terrorist threat. In order to accomplish this you’ll fight very combative AI enemies on different locations around the Globe and you’ll even have to defend your Homeland on your home ground – obviously, we’re talking about the U.S., because you’ll play the role of an American brave soldier defending the values of liberty and democracy, in spite of all the conspiracies involved.

  1. I’m sorry but how can uncharted be 30 it should be top 10 and above mw2.Also Kane and lynch 2 was terrible i was a fan of the original how can that even be in top 50.Mw2 was easily the biggest overrated game i can see how that got in there but it didn’t deliver bad company i like in no1 but would probably have uncharted 2 there instead

    • @Billy – As i said at the beginning of the article, it is not intended to be a top ;)
@Lewis – At that time Fable 3 hasn’t been released, so it couldn’t be taken into consideration.
Thank you both for the remarks and the feedback.

  2. Greetings all members, I am a recently registered participant on your bulletin board therefore I reckon I should introduce myself. Erm… I am 27 years of age, a woman, plus I study physics at my university. I truly hope talking with you folks… Bye x
