7. Max Payne 3

Max Payne the Third – Balder and Tougher

Max Payne 3 is intended to be a sequel to Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. However, is the first game of the Series not developed by Remedy Ent., the Finnish developers, and is not written by Max Payne’s creator, Sam Lake. Now, Max comes from Rockstar Games, the creators of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption.

Looking at these facts and to the screenshots provided by Rockstar, we can’t see any resemblance with the prequels. Instead we can see a more muscular, but bald and bearded Max. It appears that after 12 years since the unfortunate events in Max Payne 2, our hero has left New York and moved to the major Brazilian city of Sao Paolo, where he’s working for the private security of a rich local family.

Initially scheduled for late 2009, the game was delayed to 2010 and then again postponed to sometimes during the third quarter of 2011.
