If you want to feel rested when you wake up, Sleep Cycle alarm clock will do it at the best time, just like you would wake up in a completely natural way. The app is designed to track your sleep activity by detecting your movement while sleeping. Different movement means a different sleeping phase, from light to deep sleep.
When you use a normal alarm, you risk to be woken in a state of deep sleep. When this happens, you feel more tired than usual. To prevent feeling tired the entire day, Sleep Cycle alarm clock will only ring when you are in a natural light sleep phase, near awakening.
When you want to wake up at a certain hour, Sleep Cycle alarm clock takes into consideration up to half hour before the set time. Leaving a half hour window is enough for the alarm to find the best time, the one closest to your light/awakening phase. In case you are in a deep state of sleep for the entire time, and the app cannot find an optimal time to wake you up, the alarm will go off at the exact set time.
When using Sleep Cycle alarm clock, your iPhone must be near your body, to accurately detect you sleeping movements. Do not lock your device or the app will not work and you will be woken at the time you set. If you are afraid your sleep is going to be disturbed by calls or sms-s, don’t forget to put your phone on silent or to set it on airplane mode.
Waking up tired has never had a better cure. Based on expensive bio-alarm clocks starting from $100, Sleep Cycle alarm clock smartly uses the iPhone’s accelerometer to record your movement throughout the night and to determine when you should be “up and running”.
